Appliance strapping ties boxed refrigerators, washing machines and ovens to a pallet or shipping base, and secures compressor and motor cartons at component suppliers. We supply PP strap for boxed products and Superbant for component pallets.
Securing without crushing the carton
An appliance carton is heavy, yet its board crushes under high tension. Keep tension below the point where the carton corner collapses; corner protectors make that balance easier. PP's flexibility is an advantage on carton loads.
At the end of the assembly line
If an automatic strapping machine sits at the end of the line, choose virgin PP. In a supplier's warehouse, Superbant with a battery tool or PP on a semi-automatic table does the job. An export customer may set an ASTM D3950 or EN 13394 requirement for strap; if yours does, put it in your inquiry, and we will confirm which value is measured and how.

Start with 1/2 in PP to tie a boxed unit to its shipping base. If the unit is heavy and travels far, look at Superbant's higher catalog value: 606 lbf (275 kg) at 1/2 in × 0.030 in.
