PET-P-16-0755/8 in (16 mm) Embossed Polyester Strapping, 0.75 mm
425 kg · 1350 m

Energy equipment strapping secures solar panel pallets, electrical panels, transformer parts and insulators to their shipping base. Because these surfaces are fragile, we recommend PET and PP strap applied with the tension set to the load.
A glass-faced module or a painted panel enclosure is damaged by an over-tensioned strap. Protect every corner the strap touches, set tension on the tool and confirm the setting with a trial shipment. PET holds tension better than PP over a long trip; PP is enough for light cartons.
In panel and switchgear plants, pallets often pass an automatic strapping machine at the end of the line; on site and in the warehouse a battery tool is the practical choice. EN 13394 defines the dimensions, tolerances and tensile properties of nonmetallic strapping applied by hand tool or machine. If your tender specification cites it or ASTM D3950, we should agree on the test method before you place the order.

PP-O-16-080The strap should never touch glass or frames directly. Use cardboard or plastic corner boards on the pallet, keep tension below what the modules can take and check the setting on the first load.
At 5/8 in the catalog values are 937 lbf (425 kg) for embossed PET at 0.030 in and 595 lbf (270 kg) for virgin PP at 0.031 in. PET suits heavy, long-haul pallets; PP keeps costs down on short runs.
