Brick and Block Strapping for Construction

Brick and block strapping holds brick and concrete block cubes, roof tile pallets, insulation boards and profile packs together all the way to the job site. We recommend embossed PET for heavy cubes and PP for light packs.

Strapping brick and block cubes

Brick and block are stacked into cubes at the plant; the strap keeps each cube in one piece, on a pallet or without one. Band cubes both horizontally and vertically. The corners of these materials are abrasive, and corner protection helps the strap finish the trip unbroken.

Loads that sit outside

Materials can sit in the open on site for days, and rain will not rust plastic strap or leave rust marks on the surface. At the plant, an automatic strapper does the banding; on site, use a battery tool or buckles. For light packs such as insulation boards and profiles, PP is enough.

Frequently asked questions

Which PET size should I start with for brick cubes?

Embossed PET at 5/8 in × 0.030 in, with a catalog value of 937 lbf (425 kg), is a good start. Increase thickness as cube weight and haul distance grow, and make the final call after a forklift and truck trial.

Do export buyers ask for a strap standard?

Some do. A U.S. buyer may cite ASTM D3950 and a European buyer EN 13394; if your specification includes such a clause, send it with your inquiry so we can confirm how the values are measured.
