Automotive Parts Strapping
Automotive parts strapping secures part containers, carton pallets and stamped part bundles moving from suppliers to the assembly line. These loads are handled often and arrive on a fixed delivery schedule, so we recommend PP strap and Superbant.
Pallets that feed the line
A pallet that feeds the assembly line is loaded, unloaded and opened beside the line soon after it arrives. The strap has to go on fast, cut easily and hold the pallet steady on the way. PP handles carton pallets; Superbant handles containers and heavier carton pallets.
Choosing by machine
Virgin PP runs on automatic pallet strappers; Superbant is practical for warehouse pallets banded with a battery tool. For sharp-edged stamped part bundles, move to PET and protect the edges; 1/2 in embossed PET ranges from 584 to 661 lbf (265 to 300 kg) in our catalog. Shipments to manufacturers abroad may come with a customer specification citing ASTM D3950 or EN 13394; add it to your request.

Frequently asked questions
Can I choose the strap color?
For PP and Superbant, yes: besides the standard colors (white, yellow, green, blue and black for PP; white, black, red, yellow and green for Superbant), we produce both in the color you request. Color lets you tell suppliers, lines or part groups apart.
Do returnable containers need strapping?
If the containers travel stacked on a pallet, yes; the strap ties them to the pallet and keeps the stack from shifting. Use the strap channel if the container has one.
